Anna Maciejewska was born in Buffalo, Erie, New York, on July 26th, the feast day of Saint Anne, and was baptized at St. Stanislaus Church the following day in 1891.
She lived with her mother all her life. In the 1910 census they lived on Goodyear Street, and Anna worked as a saleslady in a dry goods store. In 1920 they lived on Peckham Street and Anna and her sister Mary worked as salesladies in a department store.
In 1924, Anna Maciejewska and another person, most likely her mother, obtained a $3,000 mortgage from Buffalo Savings Bank to purchase a house on Briscoe w. 709 n. Walden from Magdalena Grzelewska, as listed in the November 1, 1924 edition of the Buffalo Courier newspaper.
In 1930 Anna Maciejewska was listed as a daughter in her mother’s household at 74 Briscoe Avenue, working as a clerk at Malecki sausage. In 1940 Ann Maciejewska was listed as the head of household at 74 Briscoe Avenue, doing bookkeeping in an office. Her mother was there and her 
brother Anthony’s oldest daughter, Sophia A. Mack, was listed as a 28 year old lodger working as a medical technologist in a doctor’s office. Sophia had been with her grandmother and aunts in the 1920 census. Although she was not specifically listed with them in the 1930 census, the 1940 census stated that her previous residence had been the same house.
On some records Anna used the middle initial B for Bonaventura. The name means “good fortune.” St. Bonaventure University near Olean, Cattaraugus, New York, was named after St. Bonaventura, the 13th-century philosopher and Doctor of the Church.
Aunt Anne remained close to her niece, and was maid of honor at her wedding to Jack Raymond in 1945. As an adult, Sophie used her middle name Lou, and she was known as Lou Raymond after her marriage. The couple lived in Olean, New York, and summered at nearby Cuba Lake. In her later years, Aunt Ann would spend time with them until her death on 23 Feb 1975. The social security death record for Ann Maciejewski listed her last place of residence as Olean, Cattaraugus, New York.
Anne B. Maciejewski was buried alongside her mother and sisters in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Cheektowaga, Erie, New York.
