Our great-grandmother, Veronica Lewandowska Maciejewska was 95 years old at her death in 1943. She was 21 years old when she married in 1869. She had been married for almost 27 years when her husband died in 1896, and was widowed for 47 years. She was buried in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Cheektowaga, New York. Her three daughters did not live quite as long. Victoria (Dorothy) Maciejewski lived only five years after her mother’s death, dying in 1948 at age 61, Marie (Mack) Maciejewski died in 1970 at age 82, and Anne B. Maciejewski died in 1975 at age 83. They were buried alongside their mother at St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Cheektowaga, New York.
Their nieces also lived relatively long lives. Sophie Maciejewski, who used the names Lou Mack Raymond, died in 1985 at age 77. Her sisters Cele Maciejewski Malinowski died in 2002 at age 92 and Imelda Maciejewski Lewandowski died in 2005 at age 90. Their cousin, Genevieve Maciejewski Warner Pfister, died in Fallbrook, San Diego, California, in 1995 at age 76.
