Discovering our Ancestors' Travels and Travails

Our father, John Maciejewski, died in 1995 at age 67 from gastric adenocarcinoma. He was longer lived than his father and grandfather and some others in his male line.

John was predeceased by his brothers: Eugene Maciejewski had died in 1941 at age 15, Frank Maciejewski died in 1981 at age 69, Tony Maciejewski died in 1985 at age 67, and Ben Maciejewski died in 1985 at age 72.1896 Jan Maciejewski Death Certificate

Their grandfather, Jan Maciejewski, had died in 1896 at age 50 from endocarditis, leaving behind his widow Veronica with their six children, aged 2 to 13.

Their father, Anthony Maciejewski, died in 1936 at age 53. While their older children were grown, his widow Marie was left to raise the two youngest boys, aged 8 and 10.

Anthony’s brother Gus Maciejewski/Warner died in 1958 at age 73, leaving his widow Mary. Their son Alojzy Maciejewski had died in 1917 when only 2 years old. Gus’ son Daniel Warner had predeceased him, dying in 1954 at the age of 41, leaving his pregnant widow Dorothy to raise their five boys alone. The oldest was 14 years old, the youngest was not yet born.

Anthony’s brother Louis Maciejewski/Warner died in 1938 at the age of 43, leaving his widow Martha. Their 16 year old son was still in high school. Louis’ older son Henry Warner died in 1975 at age 59. Louis’ younger son, Louis Robert “Bob” Warner, lived the longest, dying in 1997 at age 75.Maciejewski Males
