Kapuścińska Sisters from Koprzywnica
Our grandmother, Agnieszka Kapuścińska Skrok Kiec, and her sister, Maryanna Kapuścińska Mastykarz, were baptized in the town of 
Koprzywnica in Sandomierz County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Poland. Koprzywnica lies on the Koprzywianka river, in Małopolska, or Lesser Poland, on the road between Kraków and Sandomierz, and includes the village of Gnieszowice, our grandmother’s birthplace.

Our great grandparents Wincenty Kapuściński and Maryanna Witoń were married in Koprzywnica in 1887. I found their marriage record in the Napoleonic format online at
http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.php?ar=7&zs=0158d&sy=1887&kt=2&plik=15-18.jpg. Although most of the record is Cyrillic, the Polish names are also written in Roman letters. The names Wincenty Kapuscinski and Maryanna Witon are both in the margin and in the text.
Their daughter Maryanna Kapuścińska was born the following year. 
In the upper left corner, you can see her name. In the text is her father’s name, Wincenty Kapuściński, and further down is her mother’s name Maryanny z Witoniów, Maryanna from the house of the Witons. The record is at http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.php?ar=7&zs=0158d&sy=1888&kt=1&plik=239-242.jpg. The year 1888 is earlier than the date on some of Mary Mastykarz’ other American records. She was 87 when she died in 1976!
I had verified our grandmother Agnieszka Kapuścińska’s birth in the Polish Archives in Sandomierz when I was in Poland in 2004. She was born in the village of Gnieszowice, and her 1895 birth record was online at http://metryki.genealodzy.pl/metryka.php?ar=7&zs=0158d&sy=1895&kt=1&plik=035-038.jpg.
